Increase your field of vision behind the car when parking. A camera in the tailgate gives you "eyes in the back" when parking in traffic. On the monitor you can see what is happening behind the car.
The camera, which is mounted almost invisibly in the tailgate, sends the image digitally to a control unit in the luggage compartment. The monitor displays the car's bumper and much of the area behind the car. Advanced image processing takes place for the most realistic display possible. Auxiliary lines indicate global distances to obstacles behind the car.
The tow bar is visible on the screen, and the system assists in reversing toward a trailer. The camera can also zoom in on the tow bar.
The system is activated when the reverse gear is engaged and deactivated when the car is driven forward or out of reverse gear.
